As a registered dietitian and nutritionist with a passion for fitness, I am devoted to helping others feel good by building healthy lifestyles. My philosophy is simple. I don’t believe in good foods or bad foods (just “better for you than others” foods). I think all foods have a place in a well-balanced diet. I believe in small but impactful changes that, over time, will improve your quality of life.
Being healthy does not just come from a dietary perspective alone. Health encompasses eating nutritious foods, exercising, and balancing mental well-being.
Lifestyle changes can seem very daunting and difficult at first. Therefore, I encourage setting small, attainable, and practical goals to focus on while working to achieve a balance in all 3 areas. I want my clients to enjoy the process of learning about their bodies, and to like the foods and exercise they incorporate into their lives.
I have been living and working in Chicago for the past seven years. I completed my Bachelor’s degree at Rhodes College in Memphis, TN and my Master’s degree in Nutrition at University of Illinois, which included a rigorous dietetic internship at locations throughout the Chicagoland area such as Advocate Medical Center and UIC Medical Center.
Prior to becoming a registered dietitian, I worked in the event planning and marketing field. During this time I experienced firsthand the struggles that come along with working a 9 to 5 desk job while trying to maintain a balanced, healthy lifestyle. In my free time, I love to cook and can offer healthy yet fun recipes to help my clients achieve their goals, many of which I share on my blog and Instagram.
I am also a fitness enthusiast and Certified Group Fitness instructor. I teach fitness classes at Shred415 and in that past I also taught Pilates.
